Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage new product development projects, ensuring timely delivery of design, prototypes, testing, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, supply chain, marketing, and quality to develop and launch new products.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and DFMEA for new product concepts.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Evaluate materials, components, and technologies suitable for new product applications.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, and iterative improvements during development.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and customer requirements.
• Continuously monitor trends in the industry and incorporate best practices and innovation into product development processes.
• Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and resource planning for NPD projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field. M.E./M.Tech preferred.

Experience: 5–8 years of experience in new product development or product engineering roles.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle, CAD software, and prototyping techniques.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Familiarity with quality tools like DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, project management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in consumer electronics, automotive components, or industrial equipment.
• Exposure to tools like PLM systems, SAP, and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS, CFD tools).
• Certifications in Six Sigma, PMP, or similar will be an advantage.
